Named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the British engineer famed for designing the Clifton Suspension Bridge (pictured), Brunel University offers students of art and design the best career prospects. Last year 75 per cent of students found work within six months of leaving, while 84 per cent of them were satisfied with the course. Brunel also has one of the most generous art and design departments with a spend per student of ￡5,588 per year.
